How to Export Your Report to CSV

You can easily export the current data view displayed in the UI to a CSV format. This allows you to download all visible information, including issues, hierarchy levels, summary, and many more Jira fields for further offline analysis.

Steps to Export CSV file:

  1. Open the Report X app in Jira.

  2. Configure the report hierarchy which is appearing left side screen of the Jira reporting app.

  3. Users can configure the required Jira fields by clicking on the three-dot icon that appears for each column. This icon provides an option labelled "Add Column", allowing you to add Jira fields as needed.

  4. Click on the Export icon located at the top-right corner of the app UI.

  5. Save the file to your local system.

The exported file will include all the visible data displayed in the current view.

What’s Included in the Export

  • All visible information from your current Hierarchy table view or card view.

  • Jira fields that are currently enabled in Report X.

  • Hierarchy indicators in the leftmost column, helping you identify parent and child relationships.

If certain Jira fields are missing from your CSV, enable those fields within your report configuration. Once enabled, they will appear in future exports.

Linked work items that have not been expanded will not appear in the exported file. Only the hierarchy indicator will show their position in the structure.
