How to assign "Manager" role to a different user?

Question :  How do I assign someone to become Admin or Manager in a project in RMsis? Are they somehow set through Jira groups? Is it possible to add an additional person as manager in a project in RMsis ?

Answer :

  • RMsis inherits all Projects and Users from JIRA.
  • All the users belonging to JIRA ADMINISTRATORS Group have admin rights in RMsis.
  • The user who is Project Lead for a project in Jira becomes the manager for that project within RMsis.
  • If you want someone to have access to a Project similar to a Manager's Role, you can create a custom role {say RMsis Manager} and allow all the permissions to this role within RMsis and then assign this role to respective user in each project within RMsis.
