Getting error while attaching a file : A message "An error has occurred" is displayed

Question : I am trying to attach a file using the "Attachments" column in RMsis . Now, RMSIS is giving this error:
"An error has occurred".

How can I attach this file now?

Answer :

  • This issue can occur if you are using MySQL database and the "max_allowed_packet" parameter for MySQL server is set to a value less than the size of file that you are trying to upload.

  • By default in some versions of MySQL, the "max_allowed_packet" parameter for MySQL server is set to "1M".

  • In order to resolve the issue being faced by you, 

    • please increase the value of this parameter to "20M" or more.

    • and then try to upload the file again in RMsis.

  • If the above specified scenario is not applicable in your case or if your issue is not resolved by the above specified points, 

    • Please send a mail to <support@optimizory.com> specifying your issue.

    • Also send us the log files using RMsis Menu > Send Log Files.
