Links Explorer Traceability & Hierarchy offers the following types of traceability reports

  • Issue type Traceability Report
  • Link type Traceability Report
  • Tree formatted Traceability Report

All of these reports generate end to end traceability displaying issues linked in Jira in an easy to comprehend tabular/tree format. 

In order to create Links Explorer Traceability report user can follow the below steps:

  • Click on Apps Menu >> Links Explorer Menu Item as shown in figure below:


  • Now, select any pre-saved filter or use the JQL editor to filter issues to be shown in the traceability report

You can use the tabs panel to switch among the Report Views - Issue Type View, Link Type View and Tree View

Issue type View

This report displays traceability between issue types. It displays information about the main issue and its related issue types.

Link Type View

This report displays traceability between linked issues. The report displays information about the issue and corresponding link types

Tree View

This report displays traceability in tree structure. You may expand the tree at any level to see the linked issues. You may even apply filters on children on various attributes e.g. priority, issue type etc by using the `Priority`, `Issue Type` dropdowns. and you may enable/disable link types by using the Issue Link Type drop-down filter.
To show/hide the orphan issues, use the button `Show/Hide Orphan Issues`. It displays all independent issues or issues without any parent issues.
