  • After enabling the “Enable Equations in Rich Text Editor” check box, the equations editor will be enabled for all rich text fields like Description, Custom Fields (of type rich text), Requirement Summary (if rich text is enabled for Requirement Summary).

In order to enter an equation in a rich text field,

  • Click on the cell corresponding to the field in which you want to enter equations. This will open up a rich text editor.
  • Click on "Math Editor"  button to open the equations editor.
  • After entering the equation, click on Ok button.
  • The equation will be displayed in the rich text editor panel.
  • Click on Save button to save the equation in the corresponding field.

Changing Font/ Font Size for equations editor :

The font or font size for the equations editor can be changed from the Home tab available in the equations editor.

Known Issues :

  • Incomplete equations/data is displayed in PDF files if font size for equations is large/ the content in the field is too large  :
    • If the font size for equations is large, then the data corresponding to the equations may not be completely displayed in the PDF files exported from RMsis.
    • If the content in the field is too large, then the data may not be completely displayed in the PDF files exported from RMsis.
    • This is because the length of field inside PDF files exported from RMsis is fixed.
  • If there is equation in Requirement Summary, the equation will not be displayed in the "Requirement Summary" field in first page of PDF report (Summary) exported from RMsis.
    • In this case, only the normal text data will be displayed in the "Requirement Summary" field in first page of PDF report (Summary).
    • The equation will be displayed in the detailed view of the corresponding requirement in the PDF file.
