Overview

The Pact Home page serves as a unified dashboard for managing contracts, requirements, negotiations, E-Sign workflows, and visual analytics.

It provides a centralized view that empowers project stakeholders to track progress, customize details, and make informed decisions efficiently through a structured, tab-based interface.

Key Sections

1. Contract List

Quickly browse through all contracts within your project.

  • Contracts are displayed with timeline indicators such as "Expiring Soon", "Expiring Today", and "Overdue" for proactive contract management.

  • Users can add new contracts by clicking the plus (+) icon.

  • Filters, sorting, and refresh options are available to refine the list and keep it up to date.

2. Contract Details

View detailed information for the selected contract in the Details tab:

  • Customize which Jira fields are displayed using the Contract Fields dropdown.

  • Reorder fields via drag-and-drop to create a personalized view.

  • Hover on rich text fields (e.g., Description) to view complete details in a scrollable popup window.

  • Access essential contract metrics, including cost, time, and other configured fields.

3. Requirements

View linked requirements and negotiations for the selected contract in the Requirements tab:

  • Add requirements directly via the plus (+) icon.

  • Add or navigate to negotiation links directly from the table.

  • Filter, sort, and refresh the table to keep information current.

  • Seamlessly trace requirements and their relationships to contracts.

4. Holistic Graphical View (Reports)

Analyze contract and requirement progress visually in the Reports tab using interactive charts::

  • Burndown Chart – track the pace at which requirements are added and resolved.

  • Requirement Status Chart – view the distribution of open, in-progress, and completed requirements.

  • Negotiation Status Chart – monitor the current state of negotiations associated with the contract.

5. E-Sign

The E-Sign tab enables teams to manage the contract signing process directly within Jira.

Instead of relying on external tools, PACT allows contracts to be signed and finalized inside the platform.

Key capabilities include:

  • Start a signing cycle for the current contract

  • Invite users to sign the contract

  • Preview the contract snapshot before signing

  • Track signing progress and signer status

  • Access signing cycle history and continue working on previous contract versions

  • Finalize completed signing cycles

  • Download a Contract Signature Certificate after finalization

PACT automatically captures a Contract Snapshot for each signing cycle to ensure signers approve the exact version of the contract.

If the contract is updated after a signing cycle begins, PACT displays a Contract Updated Banner, allowing administrators to start a new signing cycle based on the latest version.
